Well, that was a hectic week. I've been driving all over southern Ontario, and tomorrow I'm taking off for Durham, North Carolina, by way of Cleveland. Mom and I are taking a trip to check out the law school at Duke University in Durham, so we'll have a nice girls' road trip down South. I plan to bring back Southern food I can't get up here, like grits and White Lily flour. I also need to do some shopping for London... I need some pants that aren't jeans so I don't look like an American tourist all the time. Expect a blog update when I get back.

I booked my flight to London today! I'm leaving from Cleveland, as most of you know, so I had a hell of a time finding a flight that left the night before (red-eyes are best for international flights) without stranding me in Boston/Newark/DC/etc. overnight. I like hotels and all, but I'd rather not have to cough up the cash for one the night before I'm in London. I'd rather just sleep on the plane.

On the downside, I'll be getting to London at about 6:30 AM their time. I hope to God the house where I'm staying will be open early so I can come home and crash.

A great weekend for photos! I'm halfway done with 26 Things, thanks to some really nice photo opportunities up in Kincardine. Now I just need to unpack and get my exhausted ass to bed.

In the last couple of days, I received some more info about London housing, so I have my address now and I'll be e-mailing it out to everyone shortly. I'd post it here, but you never know what kind of pervy stalkers are lurking.

We're heading up to Kincardine for the weekend, so hopefully I can get some more good pictures for 26 Things, the photographic scavenger hunt I'm participating in.

In other news, Malcolm is living up to his nickname of Badcat. He likes to shred paper, and so far he has shredded a couple of letters from the bank for Ian, and a set of directions to Ian's sister's new apartment. I think I'm going to have to set him up a little box full of paper he can shred to his little heart's content. Otherwise, we're going to come back and find no intact paper anywhere in the apartment.

I've been doing some hardcore updating to the photo pages, so now everyone can see the pictures of our trip to Bruce Peninsula National Park yesterday, as well as some of my older pictures of Colorado, etc. I'm still working on the photo gallery, so don't be surprised to see new stuff appear at any time.

I've also added a couple of links over on the side of the page, right above the chatterbox. Yay me for figuring out how to do it... I guess I know more HTML than I thought. More links to come, when I figure out what else I want to put up there.

In preparation for London photos, I've set up a new photo gallery at Pbase. There's nothing in it yet, because I'm at work, but as soon as I get home I'm going to upload some cat photos so y'all can actually see them when I link to them here. All my London pics are going to go there when I get some, as well.

I just got an e-mail informing me that my LSAT score was 167. Not as good as I'd hoped, but enough to give me a 20-40% chance of getting into Cornell or Duke, and enough to make me a pretty much automatic admission to the University of Colorado. Now, I guess I have to start rounding up recommenders.

We are slowly but surely achieving détente! Maddy and Malcolm can now be within three feet of each other without hissing, and were even seen to touch noses briefly this morning. Maddy still hisses, and they still chase each other, but I think they'll learn to be friends without too much trouble. I hope they do... the only thing cuter than a sleeping cat is a pile of sleeping cats.

Happy Canada Day!
